NEREIDES was established near Paris in 1970 and has since become an expert in high technology measurement systems for the environment. It is certified ISO 9001:2000.
NEREIDES distributes, integrates and maintains a large range of products from well-known European, American and Japanese companies. It also manufactures and exports its own hydrocarbons detector, OILSPY.

OILSPY is suited for the detection of accidental pollution by hydrocarbons thanks to a unique polymer membrane patented by the French Institute of Petrol and under exclusive licence to NEREIDES. The membrane dissolves in the presence of a pollutant and triggers an alarm. It reacts in as little as 4 seconds with a spill of a minimum thickness of 0.1 mm.

The OILSPY system is adaptable to many applications (surface and underground water), as well as very easy to install and use. It also requires close to zero maintenance.

OILSPY is certified explosion proof under the European Community standards (ATEX).
